While I hate the Sux and Big Poopi, to insist their titles are tainted is going too far—after all, they did beat the A-roid and Sheff Yankee team to ‘exorcise the curse’ in 2004.

Trust me, I would love to be able to say that the ‘04 title was tainted, but you really cant, given the other players/teams that were doing it they beat on that run.

Ortiz is a scumbag though if he tries to claim he was using a ‘banned supplement’ or claims those two locker room steroid attendents slipped him something he didnt know about. And unless he just stays silent, I cant really see him going any other way when he announces his ‘findings’.

I dont like A-roid either, but at least he admitted to SOMETHING he did willingly (although he, of course, laughingly claimed to not realize what ‘Boli’ was), which makes him more of a man than Ortiz ever will be if he tried to sneak his way out of this with excuses and vagueness or flat out denial like say, Clemens.

I have been and will always be a huge Red Sox fan. I have a love for the game that is immeasurable and always will be. Most of us fans are not stupid and knew something was up with Papi. We aren’t naive. It’s the loud and obnoxious fans in Boston and yes New York too that get all the attention, when most of us just love our teams and most importantly the game. I have hoped for years that I was wrong about Papi, not because of the titles, or about what Yankee fans would say, but because my thirteen year old sons hero is now known as a cheater. You can take back the titles, the home runs, anything you want, but you can’t give my son back his hero. I know there are lots of fathers who feel the same as I do. I want MY game back, Americas game. Clean, fun, and full of heros any fan in any town can be proud of. But I have a feeling that is a fantasy. Baseball as it should be is over forever, and so are our heros of summer.

You and that Mike guy are classic examples of 2004 jump-on-the bandwagon trash. Can’t name a player on the team in the 90’s and over obsessed with the Yankees. The facts are this: The biggest contributors to the Red Sox last two titles are Ortiz and Ramirez. That’s a fact. We now know they cheated. Your rings are tainted in the eyes of every single person that isn’t a member of Roid Sox nation.

I’ve seen Red Sox fans change from smart, humble, baseball fans into a cavalcade of obnoxious, grandstanding idiots since 04. “The Greatest Comeback In Sports History” was a mirage, your two beloved hitters both cheated the game and should be treated just like Bonds, Clemens, et al. Shut up and stop whining about the Yankees all the time cause the rest of us do not care about your team or that stupid Green Wall in left field.
